MAJOR RALPH HART, our ancestor, is believed to have come to Hopewell, N.J. before 1700. He came from ENGLAND and first went to Stonington, Conn. before going to New Jersey. He died in l749. His wife was Sarah Furman. They had five children. One of which was Josiah Hart.
